As a partner in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Career Link collaborates with additional WIOA organizations to provide people with job opportunities, job training programs, and ultimately develop a skilled workforce for tomorrow. WIOA Partners
Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) is your direct link to Illinois employment services, including job placement and referrals, unemployment insurance, employment and training programs, career and labor market information, payroll tax filing, and more. Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) helps Illinois families achieve self-sufficiency, independence, and health to the maximum extent possible. DHS improves the quality of life for thousands of Illinois families through services such as community health and prevention programs, assistance for people with mental illness, financial support, and family services for low-income households. Illinois Division of Rehabilitation Services (DHS/DRS) is the state’s lead agency serving individuals with disabilities. DRS works with people with disabilities and their families to assist them in making informed choices to achieve full community participation through employment, education, and independent living opportunities. Spoon River College provides innovative learning opportunities that enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve. Spoon River is a premiere college choice, providing a broad range of educational programs, cultural activities, and economic development opportunities in an environment dedicated to success. The Illinois Department of Commerce's mission is to provide economic opportunities for businesses, entrepreneurs, and residents that improve the quality of life for all Illinoisans. They are focused on improving transparency and accountability, enhancing customer service, increasing Illinois’ competitiveness, advancing minority empowerment, modernizing Illinois’ workforce, and elevating the state’s promotional efforts. The National Farmworker Jobs Program is a community-based non-profit organization. They operate on a primary mission to promote employment, education, health, housing, and other opportunities for migrant and seasonal farmworkers (MSFW) and their families so that they can achieve economic self-sufficiency and stability. Job Corps is the nation's largest and most comprehensive residential education and job training program for at-risk youth, ages 16 through 24. Job Corps combines classroom, practical, and work-based learning experiences to prepare youth for stable, long-term, high-paying jobs. Job Corps is administered by the Department of Labor's Office of the Secretary. The Peoria Citizens Committee for Economic Opportunity, Inc. is a Community Action Agency and leadership organization that promotes self-sufficiency and economic security. PCCEO is committed to life-long learning and serves as an agent for transformational change to help individuals and families improve their quality of life in Peoria County. Serving Tazewell and Woodford County Residents, Tazwood Community Services, Inc. is organized to reduce the causes and alleviate the effects of poverty. Services include Energy Assistance (LIHEAP), and weatherization, dental, optical, hearing, employment, footwear, school supplies, and more. CAPCIL's mission, in partnership with communities in their service area, is to empower low-income individuals and the elderly by creating and implementing poverty-fighting initiatives for those in crisis and those that desire a life of lasting independence. CIAOA is an independent, not-for-profit organization serving persons of all ages, incomes, and abilities in Fulton, Marshall, Peoria, Stark, Tazewell, and Woodford Counties. Their goal is to promote independence, choice, and access to services to the communities they serve. Experience Works is a national nonprofit whose mission is to improve the lives of older people through training, community service, and employment. YouthBuild's mission is to offer young people a once in a lifetime opportunity to build their futures and their communities. They enable youth through education, leadership, development, job training, and the rehabilitation and production of affordable housing while keeping profound respect for, and a commitment to a genuine partnership. The UWDB is a business-led policy and decision-making board. Workforce Innovation Boards are mandated by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) to create a workforce development system that meets the needs of employers for qualified workers and by expanding employment opportunities for residents.
